If there is anything that I can do, it’s give myself some fire two strand twists. I have been natural since 2011 and it was a quick choice. I already had short hair and I didn’t want a relaxer anymore. I chopped it all off.
The moment I got some length I had to learned how to do twists. This was before the laying of the baby hair perfection.
The way this Carolina heat is setup I don’t do twists out as often. My hair will last about 5 days before it goes poof. I wanted to some small twists that I could still style and keep it moving during the day. I hate styling my hair most mornings so this is a better solution for me.
Here is everything I used to do my twists.
The Original Silicone Shampoo Brush
Gabels Lemon Fluff Shampoo (cleansing)
Shea Moisture Curl and Shine Shampoo (moisture)
Jane Carter Solution Revitalizing Leave-in Conditioner
Jane Carter Curls To Go Curl Cocktail (styling)
Denman Cushion Brush Nylon Bristles, 9-Row
The twists took about 2 and a half hours to achieve. I didn’t get in the bed until 12:30am, but I am happy with the results. I will wear them for about a week and a half before it ends up in a high puff.
What do you think? What do you use to get your perfect twists? Any products you recommend?
